ALDERSGATE CHRISTMAS ANGELS
It is time to begin looking forward to Christmas and how we can help those less fortunate than ourselves. We received 10 "angels" from Aldersgate Enrichment Center. Instead of purchasing items for the individuals, they are requesting gifts of money, and they will do our shopping. They need all money by November 27th. Any monetary donation will be appreciated. The name of the giver can be printed on the back of the "Angel," and it can be displayed on our church's Christmas Tree. We will be collecting money beginning on the Sunday after Lord’s Acre, so be thinking about what you would like to give, talk to your church group – Sunday school class, men’s group, women’s group, Bible study – and talk about if you’d like to adopt an angel for Christmas and give some money for their gifts. Your group’s name can be put on the angel and placed on our Christmas tree.
THANK YOU, OUMC
Thank you Ovilla UMC for supporting the cell phone ministry. Eighteen phones were taken to the Lancaster Police Department. They will refurbish the phones, then pass them out to seniors and abused women so that they can call 911 in an emergency.
